Pit Stop

Release date: 12/01/2024

"Pit Stop" humorously addresses social issues such as eco-anxiety, housing discomfort, lack of future prospects, and the now frivolous hypocrisy of pop singer-songwriting. It is seen from the perspective of two university students, between beers in the square with friends and endless unpaid internships. This leads to the only plausible solution: to stop, critically observe what is around, and restart with new tires and a new strategy, just like after a pit stop.

The central theme of the focus track, "Grand Prix," is speed as an essential requirement in a hyper-productive and hyper-performing world. The song uses a Formula 1 race as a narrative device to discuss the need to always be ahead, which forces us to deal with rush hour traffic, where everyone thinks they are a driver on the track. With overtaking on the right and sudden stops in front of speed cameras, the only possible ending is a crash.
