Beatrice Lambertini - INCUBI - official Videoclip

Data di pubblicazione 21/12/2023

"The desire to play with one's fears rather than be enslaved by them, transforming one's nightmares into a better world to live in and draw inspiration from. A dark, sexy, and enticing world that encourages stepping out of one's comfort zone and donning a new skin to find a different and better version of ourselves. 'Incubi' was a journey, a path," says Beatrice Lambertini. "At the beginning, I wanted to talk about my nightmares, my fears. It happens to everyone more or less to have very imaginative dreams, and I am one of those people. But the more material I collected to write, the more I wanted to play with these fears I had, so I went beyond, seeking a free, magical space. In the end, only the music of these fears remained." "Incubi" is Beatrice Lambertini's new single, and it leaves us breathless. The familiar suggestions we associate with the Bolognese singer transform throughout the song, becoming increasingly powerful with each beat, culminating in a hypnotic dance that reinterprets Caribbean rhythms in a dark and dreamy Nordic atmosphere. "Incubi" could be a dancehall party organized by Tim Burton, the theme song of a TV series, or a track you can listen to and dance to in a nightclub, but above all, it's a vision of Beatrice like you've never heard her before. The writing style has also changed. Among the references, we find those that reinterpret horror fiction in an urban key, such as "I'm the Kenwood of zombies," as well as those directed at showbiz personalities, like "I bring popcorn and Crime&Comedy," referring to the podcast by Clara Campi and Marco Champier, "crime told by two comedians." Beatrice is not a comedian, but by entertaining us and having fun herself, she welcomes us into her own fears. And that's precisely the underlying vision of "Incubi," mixing fun with noir.

Beatrice Lambertini was born, raised, and educated in Bologna, where she discovered an unstoppable creative energy during her school years, leading her towards music, singing, and acting. She enrolled at the Music Academy of her city and the Casa Delle Passioni theater and film school, starting to write songs at a young age. "Superpotere," her debut single, tells the story of a teenager who must confront the limits of a society not yet ready to accept and understand differences, anticipating a trend that is very relevant to young people today. The video quickly reaches hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. A few months later, in the winter of 2020, she appeared on the 14th edition of X Factor Italy, with judges Mika, Manuel Agnelli, Emma Marrone, and Hell Raton. Her audition performance was one of the most viewed and shared, becoming a media sensation that led her to speak in schools about different learning characteristics and methods. Beatrice became an ambassador for the Italian Dyslexia Association, and the La Scuola SEI Publishing Group published "Superpotere" in music books for lower secondary schools. In September 2021, she released "Squali," which was previewed on Hell Raton's live program on the Twitch channel "Manuelito," where Beatrice was a guest. 2022 was a year of live events, including school visits and concerts in various Italian regions, and during this time, she began planning her first album. On May 19, 2023, she released the single "Siamo un Miracolo," and on November 17, "Incubi," whose artistic production is by Gerolamo Sacco, who aims to play with Beatrice's notes as if they were brushstrokes on a rhythmic canvas that could go on relentlessly in a loop for hours.
