🔥 Supreme Master
Ideator of the project and head of Miraloop music production team, he's the mind who unified, for better or worse, all the characters you see in this page
Gerolamo Sacco was born in Bologna in 1980. Creative mind and multifaceted personality, he is formed as a musician and develops at 360° to be able to express himself at his best both as a songwriter and composer and as an entrepreneur and record producer. He works as artistic, marketing and production director in the company of his invention Miraloop, created with the contribution of his brother and partner Niccolò Sacco, architect and designer. Miraloop debuted in late 2008 as an independent label and slowly grew to become a company in 2017 and opened its recording studios in 2018. A record label and creative agency, Miraloop is a company founded on creativity that sells creativity: it is inserted both in the artistic and cultural underground and in the context of much larger companies and also outside the entertainment world.
Gerolamo begins to make music at 19 years old and learns by himself to use sequencers, samplers and turntables. From the first evenings as a DJ to the first publication in vinyl format 12'' pass a few months. He starts to sample with a Pentium 166 and to record little cassettes that he lets people listen to and, at the age of 21, he signs an exclusive contract with Media Records (Gianfranco Bortolotti) as a producer: his job is to create good ideas: in 2004, under Media Rec, he releases "Once Upon a Time", signed together with Gigi D'Agostino with the pesudonym Elettrogang, radio hit launched by M2O and published in several compilations (Noisemaker Volume 1) and as a vinyl single. So in 2005 he passed to Pensieri Elettronici of Gigi D'Agostino as exclusive producer. One of his many ideas is particularly fortunate, that of marrying the Italian melody with the slow danceable beat that originated in the 12'' played on 33 rpm: in 2006 "Vorrei Fare una Canzone" is a radio hit, and will accompany "Lento - Violento e Altre Storie" among the best selling albums in Italy. This trend will then take hold in the world of mainstream music more than ten years later. In the meantime he continues to play as a DJ, in private parties, clubs such as BlackB and Link, techno festivals such as Sun Explosion or the Street Rave Parade in Bologna: in 2004 he is on the wagon of R.I.N (Radio Italia Network) event with more than twenty thousand attendees.
During the success of "Vorrei Fare Una Canzone", which he is forced to watch as a spectator, Gerolamo decides to start from scratch and study what he does by instinct: composing melodies. In 2006, at the age of 25 years, with a piano sonata is admitted to the course of composition at the Conservatory G.B. Martini in Bologna: although self-taught, without a diploma instrumentalist and without musical literacy. He will then begin to study classical composition, score reading, harmony and counterpoint for 4 years with Maestro Grandi. When he discovers that he is not the first to be able to tell this story, he brings it into his academic path. In 2007 he graduates in History of Modern and Contemporary Music at the University of Bologna precisely with a thesis on "the early" Franco Battiato and the relationship between the technological revolutions of electronic music and self-taught composers. He leaves to the world of Gg Dag hundreds of musical ideas and begins to give birth to the project Miraloop, which in December 2008 debuts on the market with the title Ansa: "The first record company founded by musicians". Miraloop, divided into four independent labels, will become the fulcrum of his artistic journey and working obsession-story. The idea is a record company that, in the long run, could be able to produce any kind of music and keep up with the times while most of the production houses are actually closing down. At the end of 2010 Gerolamo stops studying, thus ending a training period that lasted 10 years. From here on, he will dedicate himself 24/7 to Miraloop.
