Saxophonist with a passion for composition, Simone Blasioli focuses his research on the timbres that have always fascinated him the grotesque & the macabre.

Simone Blasioli began studying piano and accordion at the age of four under the guidance of his father. At the age of 12 years he began to study midi programming and software for music production. At the age of 15 he was admitted to the Conservatory "L. D'Annunzio" in Pescara where he graduated brilliantly in "Saxophone". At the same time he studies Jazz at the "Accademia Musicale Pescarese" and at the "Fonderia delle Arti" in Rome. Then he graduates first in "Composition" with a score of 110/110, specializing, two years later, in "Composition for music applied to images" with a score of 110/110 Praise and Honorable Mention; the following year in "Orchestra Direction" at the Conservatory "A. Casella" of Aquila and in 2022 in "Jazz Composition" at the Conservatory "G.Verdi" of Turin always with a score of 110/110 Praise and Honorable Mention.
In 2010 he wins the Erasmus Scholarship in Composition at the Conservatory of Castellón, in Spain. Soon after he wins a second scholarship, (SMP), as Assistant Professor of Composition and Orchestra Supervisor at the prestigious RIAM in Dublin.
He has attended numerous training seminars with teachers such as R. Spadoni, B. Tommaso, L. Bacalov, S. Zenni, F. D'Andrea, I. Fedele, C. Delangle, M. Lupone, G. Manca, P. Rotili, F. Vacchi, G. Testoni, M. Frisina, S. Corbett, T. Tulev, F. Sebastiani, C. Crivelli, N. Piovani.
Among the works of composer are the music for the theater shows "Benvenuta Estate", "L'estate è già altrove", "In alto a sud", "Il cerchio perfetto" by director F. Puccio; the documentary for ENIT (Ente Nazionale Italiano Turismo).
In 2018 he conducts the original music for the Film Il Fantasma dell'opera at Auditorium del Parco, L'Aquila, commissioned by Società Aquilana dei concerti "Bonaventura Barattelli".
In 2019 the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese performs Paraphrase on Dizzy Gillespie's "Manteca" - op 129, original transcription by Simone Blasioli, under his direction.
He is the first alto saxophone of the Big Band of the Conservatory of L'Aquila with which he performed concerts in the main Italian Jazz festivals and exhibitions; he plays in many formations ranging from duo to sextet.
In 2010/11 he has been on tour four times in Minsk with the Italian Chansonnier.
He won many national and international competitions including the 1st prize of the "Premio delle Scienze e delle Arti - Giovanni Battista Bruno", L'Aquila 2019; the 1st absolute prize of the 5th Competition "Stand Together: con la musica", Città Sant'Angelo; the 1st prize of the International Saxophone Competition "Città di Atri"; special mention of the "Premio Vincenzoni", Treviso 2019.
He has been reported to the Competition: "Musical Composition, Creation and Criticism, SUONOSONDA" Genova.
He reaches the semifinals of the competition "Massimo Urbani Prize" 2019.
In 2020 and 2021 he is among the three young Italian talents at the competition "SEEYOUSOUND TORINO Music Film Festival", Turin.
In 2021 he releases the album under his own name "Conversation" for the Japanese label "Da Vinci Jazz" with Fabio Giachino, Ruben Bellavia, Mauro Battisti.
His second album "Giambiarra" together with the well known double bass player Furio Di Castri is coming out for the italian label "Azzurra music". With Miraloop he realizes 1 concept album of music composed for small ensemble reworked in electronic key, divided in 2 volumes: Visions (Volume I) and Vision (Volume II).
