World Pop
The story begins in a quiet town emptied by the arrival of summer, where the protagonist finds himself alone. But from the very first “tutto bene” ("all good") onwards, the song turns into an unstoppable dancefloor filler, with our hero surrounded by music, girls, and joy; he dances and never stops, perhaps even forgetting the girl who left him.
Mediterraneo’s indie pop sound thus takes an unexpected turn toward vibrant Latin rhythms, blending reggaeton and dembow influences with the traditional beats of Southern Italy, creating something creatively new even in terms of musical harmonies.
Percussions by Domenico Miriello (who created the musical cell), arrangement by Gerolamo Sacco (performer and co-composer), and lyrics by Paolo Bonazza and Giordano Spagnol.
Non mi lasciare Più - Don’t Leave Me Anymore (Tutto Bene) is the new single by Mediterraneo, the music project by Paolo Bonazza, this time featuring Gerolamo Sacco (producer and vocalist).

Paolo Bonazza:
“With this song, I close a circle that opened many years ago with Domenico Miriello (professional drummer and composer). I first started playing music with him when I was just a child—Domenico on drums and me on keyboards. We dreamed of releasing a song together, and after so many years, we finally made it happen.”
Gerolamo Sacco:
“I’ve been collaborating with Mediterraneo since the beginning, with Malavoglia and Roberta Giallo. I always told Paolo that I would love to explore more Latin atmospheres, in honor of the sea.
One afternoon, Paolo brought a tape recorded by Domenico Miriello to the studio and explained his vision for the music and lyrics—and I immediately fell in love with it. What struck me was that it’s a ‘summer’ song, yet written in minor chords, like the hits of the 1960s. Something like Azzurro, but... Latin, and with lots of harmonic modulations! Wow.
Once we refined the lyrics together with our songwriter at Miraloop (our label here in Bologna), I was supposed to produce the first demo with a guide vocal, but when I started singing it, the song struck a deep emotional chord in me—it made me feel moved, happy... and a little bit blue. When Paolo heard it, he looked at me and said: ‘Hey, you have to be the one to sing this!’”
Mediterraneo is the music project created by Paolo Bonazza—a space of artistic interactions and relationships that, like the Mediterranean Sea, embraces both North and South.
The main creative forces are melody, rhythm, and above all, lyrics—poetry in song. For each track, the songwriter carefully selects the performers he feels are best suited to express the right emotions.
Artists who have participated so far include: Roberta Giallo, Malavoglia, Giolero, Marco Gatti, Lorenzo Minarini, Vale CMQ, Aurora Convertini, and Gerolamo Sacco.
